Bespoke Services, tailored to your individual needs

Inspiring many. Replicated by some. Led by Hope’s Therapy Dogs.

Hope’s Therapy Dogs was not created as a trend, a bolt-on wellbeing offer, or a copied model. It was built from lived experience, professional expertise, deep compassion and a clear commitment to doing Animal Assisted Intervention properly.

As one of the original leaders in professional, ethical therapy dog work, we are proud to have inspired others in the field, including people we have trained and mentored who have gone on to create their own services.

But while aspects of our work may be replicated, the heart, standards and ethical foundations of Hope’s Therapy Dogs remain uniquely our own.

Our multi-award-winning team combines specialist knowledge in children’s emotional wellbeing, safeguarding, dog behaviour, force-free practice and professional Animal Assisted Intervention. Every session is shaped by one core belief: the wellbeing of the child and the wellbeing of the dog must never be separated.

For schools, organisations and professionals wanting to develop safe, ethical and meaningful therapy dog provision, we offer training and mentoring from the team who helped lead the way.

If you want therapy dog work done properly, learn from the team who helped set the standard.

    Therapy Dog Sessions for Schools

Our school-based Animal Assisted Intervention sessions provide calm, trusted emotional and mental health support for children and young people who may be struggling with anxiety, confidence, regulation, social connection, grief, low mood or school engagement.

Delivered by our trained Hope’s Therapy Dogs team, sessions offer a safe, nurturing space where pupils can talk, reflect, build confidence and develop emotional resilience — supported by the gentle presence of a carefully assessed therapy dog.

We work in partnership with schools to support identified pupils through regular, structured sessions during the school day. Our approach is child-centred, safeguarding-led and grounded in ethical practice, with the wellbeing of both the child and the dog at the heart of every session.

We also help pupils and staff understand safe, respectful interaction with dogs, promoting kindness, empathy, responsibility and animal welfare across the school community.

Sessions are usually delivered weekly in two-hour blocks, providing consistent support for pupils and meaningful impact for schools.
