Therapy Dog Team

We are a passionate and dynamic team of dedicated counsellors, experienced teachers, and highly skilled Thrive practitioners. Together, we bring a wealth of expertise, compassion, and enthusiasm to support the growth, resilience, and mental wellbeing of every individual we work with. As a small but mighty team, we are deeply committed to creating a positive impact, empowering children, young people, and adults to thrive in all aspects of their personal, emotional, and educational journeys.

Enhancing the heart of our team are our amazing therapy dogs, each with their own unique personalities and special qualities. These wonderful canine companions bring something truly extraordinary to the team, offering comfort, joy, and emotional support that significantly improves mental health, reduces stress, and boosts overall happiness.

By blending expert counselling, Thrive-based strategies, and the unique therapeutic benefits of our dogs, we create a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters growth, resilience, and wellbeing for all.

And now…..

MEET OUR WONDERFUL DOGS!

Pippa was Hope’s therapy dog and began her training at just 8 weeks old, learning to care for Hope. It was Hope’s wish that Pippa become a Therapy Dog to help other children and that is exactly what she has done! Pippa is sensitive and empathetic and loves nothing more than snuggling with a child in need.

Pippa

Stella is Pippa’s daughter and is full of energy - she just loves to play! Her name means star just like Hope’s middle name. Children adore her because she’s the best at games. Stella had a litter of puppies and one of them, Theo (meaning God’s gift), has become an Assistance Dog to a wonderful little boy.

Stella

Truman, a giant Labradoodle, was born on Hope’s birthday (no coincidence). His name means faithful and one who is filled with hope. Although still very young, Truman is already showing promise as an incredible therapy dog, although he still needs to learn to manage his excitement a bit!

Elsa brings her gentle spirit and warm presence into every encounter, whether with children or adults. With her remarkable sensitivity to people, she is a complete natural at offering comfort and connection. She never misses a chance to sneak in some extra cuddles!

Elsa

Jackson is a Bedlington Terrier who looks a bit like a fluffy, curly lamb. His favourite thing is to have a snuggly cosy cuddle but he also adores playing games -”Find the Treat” and “Catch the Ball” are his favourites. Jackson always seems to know how people are feeling and the best way to make them feel better.

Nala is a 7 year old Shorkie (a cross between a Shitzu and a Yorkshire Terrier). She is as much a princess as she is inquisitive. Her calmness is only matched by her maternal instinct and she adores children, with an innate ability to know exactly what someone needs at just the right time
